Refund & Cancellation Policy

Srikanth Enterprises is committed to transparency and fairness. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds, cancellations, and returns may be processed for our engineering services, products, and project engagements.

1. Overview

At Srikanth Enterprises, we take pride in delivering high-quality precision engineering, automation solutions, and turnkey projects. Since each project involves customized planning, materials procurement, and skilled labor, our refund policy reflects the nature of industrial services. We encourage clients to review project scopes and sign clear agreements before commencement.

This policy applies to all service engagements, product sales (e.g., machined components, automation parts), and deposits made toward custom manufacturing. It works in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and specific project contracts.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Project Cancellations by Client

If you decide to cancel a project after signing a Service Agreement or Work Order, the following cancellation charges apply based on the stage of work:

  • Before design/engineering phase (within 7 days of agreement): 90% refund of any advance payment, minus administrative fees (minimum INR 5,000 or 5% of contract value).
  • After design & engineering but before procurement: 50% refund of advance amount, reflecting design labor and resource allocation.
  • After procurement of materials or partial manufacturing: No refund for custom-ordered materials, but credit may be offered toward future services.
  • After 50% project completion: No refund. Client will be billed for work completed as per milestone progress.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to projects@srikanthenterprises.in. Verbal cancellations are not considered valid.

2.2 Cancellations by Srikanth Enterprises

We reserve the right to cancel a project if:

  • Critical information or approvals are not provided by the client within 30 days of request.
  • We encounter unforeseen technical impossibilities beyond reasonable engineering scope (rare). In such cases, a full refund of unutilized deposits will be issued within 15 business days.

3. Refund Eligibility for Standard Products

For off-the-shelf industrial components, tools, or stocked items (not custom-manufactured):

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery provided the product is unused, in original packaging, and with proof of purchase.
  • Return shipping costs are borne by the client unless the product is defective.
  • Refunds for eligible returns are processed within 10-14 business days after inspection.
  • Custom-machined or made-to-order products are non-refundable unless they fail to meet agreed technical specifications (subject to quality audit).
Custom Manufacturing Note: Because each precision component is manufactured to client drawings and tolerances, returns or refunds are only approved if our quality inspection confirms deviation from agreed specifications beyond allowable limits.

4. Service Refunds (Consulting, Automation, Turnkey)

For engineering consulting, feasibility studies, or automation design services:

  • If you are unsatisfied with a paid consultation deliverable, please notify us within 7 days. We will offer revisions at no extra cost.
  • Refunds for services already rendered (e.g., site audits, PLC programming) are not applicable once work has been performed. However, we guarantee workmanship and will rectify errors at our own expense.
  • For retainer-based services, unutilized portion may be refunded on a pro-rata basis after deducting 15% admin fee, provided 30 days’ written notice is given.

5. Deposit & Advance Payment Refunds

Many large-scale industrial projects require an advance deposit (typically 30-50% of contract value). In case of project abandonment by client without valid reason, the deposit is non-refundable as it secures design, engineering hours, and material booking. However, if Srikanth Enterprises fails to commence work within agreed timelines (due to our fault), the full deposit will be refunded within 10 business days.

6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To initiate a refund or cancellation, please follow these steps:

  • Send an email to accounts@srikanthenterprises.in with your invoice number, project ID, and reason for request.
  • Attach any supporting documents (photos for product returns, communication records).
  • Our finance team will acknowledge within 3 business days and may schedule a discussion to evaluate the request.
  • Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method (bank transfer, credit card, or cheque) within 15 business days.

7. Non-Refundable Items & Situations

  • Custom-engineered components that meet agreed specifications.
  • Software licenses, PLC programs, or digital deliverables once downloaded/accessed.
  • Expedited shipping or handling fees.
  • Services already performed (e.g., site visits, installation, training sessions).
  • Projects canceled due to client's change in business priorities after materials are procured.

8. Warranty & Defective Product Returns

If a product or component fails due to manufacturing defects within the warranty period (12 months from delivery unless otherwise specified), we will repair or replace it free of charge. If repair is not feasible, we will issue a pro-rated refund. Defective items must be returned to our Pune facility after obtaining a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Shipping costs for warranty claims are borne by Srikanth Enterprises within India.

9. Dispute Resolution for Refund Claims

If a refund dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt amicable negotiation. If unresolved, the matter will be referred to mediation in Pune, India, before any legal proceedings. All refund claims shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune.

Processing Time

Refunds typically take 10-15 business days after approval. International transfers may take longer.

Deductions

Third-party payment gateway fees, bank charges, and currency conversion costs may be deducted from refunds.
